As a retired Lieutenant from Homewood Fire & Rescue, John has exemplified unwavering commitment and professionalism throughout his extensive tenure. With 30 years of experience as a NREMT Paramedic, he has consistently demonstrated his expertise and provided exceptional care to countless individuals in need. During his illustrious career, John worked as a flight medic for Lifesaver, where he played a critical role in providing life-saving medical interventions and rapid transport to patients in critical condition. His commitment to serving the community extended beyond the skies as he served as a tactical medic for several esteemed organizations, including Homewood Police, BevillState Community College, Jasper Police, Alabama State Police, and the Secret Service. Beyond his frontline service, John also made significant contributions to the field of education. He dedicated eight years of his career to BevillState Community College, where he shared his expertise and guided aspiring paramedics towards excellence. John's valuable insights and experience also earned him a position as an advisory board member for HerzingCollege, where he played an integral role in shaping the institution's curriculum and training programs. Currently, John serves as the Director over Loss Prevention, Building Services, Education, Safety, and Purchasing for Regional Paramedical Services. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of Academic Dean for the Regional Training Institute, a testament to his leadership and expertise in the field. John's multifaceted role highlights his versatility and ability to oversee diverse aspects of emergency medical services, ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Outside of his professional endeavors, John finds joy and relaxation in his personal life. He is happily married with three daughters, cherishing the love and support of his family. In his leisure time, he indulges in pursuits such as golfing, woodworking. John's commitment to spiritual growth is evident through his membership in the Gardendale First Baptist Church, where he finds strength and community.
