Dr. Christopher White started his career in pre-hospital Emergency Care as a fire fighter/EMT with Carroll County Fire Rescue and West Georgia Ambulance in Carrollton, Georgia while completing his B.S. and M.S. in Biology from the University of West Georgia. After 6 years in the EMS and fire services, he entered Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia in 2009. Afterwards, he completed Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon completion of residency Dr. White entered active-duty service with the United States Air Force where he served as the EMS Director for Eglin Air Force Base. Additionally, Dr. White received further training through USAFSAM and C-STARS as a critical care flight physician. Dr. White remains actively involved in pre-hospital medical direction and education serving as medical director for multiple agencies as well as educational institutions. Dr. White is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine here at UAB.
